What We Can Help You With
A lot of us have probably thought that breastfeeding should be so easy, so natural… until we have a baby and then we realize it can sometimes be anything but “easy” and “natural”. That’s where we come in, we are here to help you along the way and help guide you on your breastfeeding journey, whether it be exclusively breastfeeding, bottle feeding, exclusively pumping, or anything in between.
Our areas of lactation knowledge include:
Assessing for tongue and lip tie symptoms and providing families with education and referrals to local professionals
Slow or poor weight gain issues
Latching issues, nipple pain, cracked or bleeding nipples
Weaning from the nipple shield
Oversupply, mastitis, thrush, plugged ducts
Medications and procedures that could have an affect on lactation
Nursing after breast reduction or augmentation
Breastmilk supply challenges
Pumping difficulties, flange fittings, pumping routines
Back-to-work transition
Breastfeeding education
Where We Meet
Telehealth
This service is perfect if you are unable to meet with us in person (quarantine, sickness, distance). We will be able to thoroughly go through what is going on, we will offer custom solutions, and observe a breast or bottle feeding session.
In-Office
We have been in our office location since January 2023! We have many things that you made need during our consult- different types of nursing pillows, a glider to sit in, diapers and wipes in case you forget, and various bottles, toys, and pumping supplies that you can try.

What to Expect on Your First Visit
During our first visit together, we spend time going over your intake form and what the biggest challenges have been, what you would like to work on, and your overall goal(s) for feeding your baby. Your IBCLC will observe a feeding at the breast or bottle, we will do a weighted feed (so your anxious mama brain knows how much baby received at the breast), and your IBCLC will do a full oral assessment on baby. We will discuss everything that was observed and go over any pictures taken during the oral assessment. We will discuss what the next steps for your and baby will be and we will answer any questions you may have. After our visit, you will receive a customized care plan within 24 hours.
Benefits of Having a Nurse
As well as being an IBCLC, I am also a Registered Nurse. With 11 years of experience––7 in Adult Critical Care and 4 in Post-Partum Mother-Baby Care, along with a dash of NICU experience. There are many skills that I bring into each of my consultations
Observation of both mother AND baby- the dyad is so incredibly important together but also individually.
Knowledge of post-partum time for mother––what is normal and what is not.
Knowledge of newborn development.
Knowledge of normal parameters of newborn ––appearance, vitals signs, overall health.
Able to recognize what is and is not normal and when to send you for medical help with your doctor
